Meet Chef Julie

Hello Nature’s Nest families! My name is Julie Whitehead,  I am so thrilled to be part of the Nature's Nest team and to be providing healthy, nutritious snacks and lunches for your little ones!  Here's a little about me, I have a Culinary Management diploma from Confederation College, obtained my ECE diploma from Fanshawe College and finally graduated as valedictorian with my PSW certificate.

I am happily married and have a daughter who is off pursuing her archaeology degree in Southern Ontario.  Whether it is for pleasure, recreational sports, or volunteering my time, you can often find me out and about in our community. My favorite recreational sport to play is Ringette, though down hill skiing is a close second. I enjoy hiking and going for walks with my husband, our family dog Diamond and occasionally, even our cat Sophia.

I am active in my community, I sit on the Board of Officers for our local Moose Lodge volunteering with the Women of the Moose, attending conferences across Ontario. I am also a volunteer with Hospice Northwest, though I have left my PSW career, I still feel compelled to offer comfort and care to those who need it most.

I am grateful to have found myself at Nature’s Nest, a place where I can combine my love of cooking with my love for children. I truly have found my comfort zone, and cannot wait to sprinkle love all over every meal that comes out of my kitchen.
